Responsibilities :
- Manage a small team of DBAs, coach them on latest DBA technologies and guide them with day-to-day work and complex troubleshooting aspects being available to them whenever required.
- Stay abreast of latest database SQL and NoSQL trends & technologies and work on implementing the same as per business requirements at Aurigo
- Put security first and maintain the complete database environment at Aurigo
- Manage database vulnerability management program
- Prepare knowledge base articles, presentations to management periodically and participate in monthly/bi-weekly program/project and environment reviews
- Work on cost optimization, high availability and reliability architecture deployment and maintenance on SQL (Microsoft SQL server) and NoSQL (DynamoDB & MongoDB) database technologies
- Ensure 100% uptime of the database environment in Cloud
- Participate in company hackathon events and intercompany hackathon events or game days organized by top global cloud service providers.
- Participate in production environment troubleshooting activities when required
- Participate in calls with customers if required to cater to any database specific requirements
- Participate in On-Call rotation 2 weeks in a month
- Participate in monthly production patching activity one Saturday every month (compensatory-off will be provided)
Requirements:
- B. E/ B. Tech (CS, IS, IT, ECE) / MCA
- Analyze Queries and Stored Procedures, tune the SQL for optimal performance on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong Experience and hands-on in MSSQL database modelling, administration, tuning and troubleshooting performance problems
- Knowledge on Replication strategies, log shipping and Mirroring.
- Strong knowledge on database backup & recovery.
- Implementation and maintenance of Always-On High Availability Disaster Recovery setup on Microsoft SQL Server for Business Continuity Plan, “on-premises” or on “Cloud”
- Understanding of streaming data analytic and resources
- Hands on experience with NO SQL databases (DynamoDB, mongo dB etc.)
- Experience with cloud databases and cache software.
- Hands On Experience on SSAS and SSRS.
- Monitor Production Servers for optimal performance
- Experience in Data Migration between disparate systems. Preferably SSIS.
- Powershell scripting for administration and job automation required.
- Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure and database tuning on Amazon RDS.
- Strong exposure on database configuration for SaaS applications.
- MCSE/MCSA certification preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory
- Familiarity with reporting tools.
