Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Writer to drive high-quality, user-focused documentation while leading modern documentation practices. This role combines strong technical writing expertise with mentoring, process improvement, AI-enabled workflows, and data-driven documentation strategy. The ideal candidate has strong industry exposure, a passion for learning, and the ability to improve how documentation is created, measured, and delivered.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead creation of clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and task, concept, and reference content
  • Apply core technical writing principles such as task orientation, minimalism, structured authoring, and consistency
  • Mentor and guide writers, conduct content reviews, and elevate overall content quality
  • Guide the team on AI implementation in documentation workflows and promote responsible, effective usage
  • Mentor the team on emerging documentation trends, tools, and technologies
  • Guide the team on documentation best practices and continuous quality improvement
  • Improve documentation processes, reduce review cycles, and streamline authoring-to-publishing workflows
  • Define and maintain documentation standards, templates, and best practices
  • Use documentation and product analytics to identify content gaps, improve findability, and track content performance
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, UX designers, and support teams to align documentation with product functionality and user workflows

Required Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer with senior or lead-level responsibilities
  • Strong foundation in information architecture, topic-based writing, task-oriented documentation, and style guides
  • Experience with modern documentation environments (CCMS, structured authoring tools, or version-controlled systems)
  • Ability to interpret documentation metrics and apply data-driven improvements
  • Strong editing, reviewing, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills


Preferred

  • Exposure to AI tools for content creation, editing, or documentation workflows
  • Strong understanding of information architecture principles
  • Experience delivering multimedia documentation such as infographics, image maps, videos, or visual learning assets
  • Experience with UX writing or in-product content
  • Experience contributing to documentation strategy or governance initiatives
