Role Overview
Aurigo is seeking a senior Washington, DC–based leader to drive engagement across federal policy, industry ecosystems, and strategic growth. This role sits at the intersection of industry strategy, government relations, and enterprise growth. The Director will represent Aurigo in key forums, support complex public-sector engagements, and translate policy and market signals into actionable insight for leadership, product, and go-to-market teams.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Industry Engagement
- Represent Aurigo across federal and industry forums
- Build relationships with agencies, associations (e.g., AASHTO), and congressional stakeholders
- Monitor and interpret policy impacting infrastructure and digital delivery
- Contribute to Aurigo’s positioning in infrastructure and GovTech markets
Strategic Deal Support
- Support enterprise sales in complex public-sector engagements
- Participate in executive-level customer conversations
- Provide policy and regulatory context to strengthen positioning
- Align messaging with federal and state priorities
Government Relations Leadership
- Oversee and direct external lobbyists and GR partners
- Set priorities aligned to company strategy and growth objectives
- Maintain visibility into federal engagement (agencies, Congress)
- Translate GR activity into actionable internal insights
Ecosystem & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain relationships across industry, policy, and advisory networks
- Coordinate external partners (consultants, advisors, lobbyists)
- Leverage network to surface opportunities and market intelligence
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years in government relations, public policy, infrastructure, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of federal agencies (e.g., DOT, DOE) and policy landscape
- Experience engaging senior public-sector stakeholders
- Background working with infrastructure or transportation organizations
- Experience managing or working with lobbyists or GR firms
- Ability to connect policy and relationships to business outcomes
Preferred
- Congressional staffer or federal agency experience
- Background in infrastructure, transportation, or capital programs
- Exposure to GovTech or enterprise SaaS
- Familiarity with public-sector procurement and sales cycles
