Job Description
Job Title:  Agent Designer
Posting Start Date:  8/11/26
Posting Location:  Austin, U.S.

Role Overview

You are one half of the core delivery pair. You and the Domain SME work as a self-organizing unit iterating together to build, configure, and refine agents in the field. You bring the technical expertise on implementing what the agency needs, how Masterworks agents can be deployed towards those goals and what good output looks like for a project controls or capital planning function. The Domain SME brings the deep industry knowledge.  Agents emerge from that collaboration, not from a handoff. This is not a traditional business analyst role, and it is not a requirements-writing role. You are a co-builder who happens to own the realization of the customer needs. You need enough Masterworks depth to know what is buildable, enough AI literacy to contribute meaningfully to configuration and training data decisions, and enough domain fluency to know when agent behavior is right,  and when it isn't.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required. Master's degree in Computer Science or Management preferred
  • 5+ years in software implementation, solution architecture, or business analysis, working directly with customers in an embedded or consulting capacity
  • Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools, prompt engineering, or agentic workflow platforms
  • AI and ML literacy necessary to understand what a model needs to be trained on, what prompting accomplishes versus what fine-tuning accomplishes, and how to evaluate whether an agent's outputs are reliable
  • Comfort working in ambiguous field environments where requirements emerge from observation rather than from a pre-written specification

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with structured data extraction
  • Prior involvement in AI proof-of-concept or automation projects within a capital program context
  • Familiarity with data labeling, annotation workflows, or training data quality processes
  • Experience with capital program platforms (e-Builder, InEight, Oracle Primavera, Procore)
