Description:
We are looking to hire a Vice President of Sales to join our North American sales team in a senior leadership role. The position is based in Austin, Texas where we are headquartered. The successful candidate will be ultimately responsible for driving the sales direction of our organization, generating all direct sales revenue for the business, building out sales teams, etc.. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced enterprise software sales leader to be a highly visible player at a major software company with direct reporting into the CRO.
In this role, you will be responsible for the sales orchestration across a team of AE’s, AMs, SEs, CSM, SDR/BDRs, etc. Your duties will include:
- Developing the sales strategy and go to market plans.
- Create a consistent, data-driven, and productive sales organization that can scale rapidly.
- Be a hands-on sales leader who can evangelize the product in front of customers and drive deals across the sales process.
- Maintain healthy and predictable revenue growth by establishing and consistently meeting execution milestones related to the company’s financial and operating plans.
- Hire and develop the sales team, including overseeing compensation and incentive programs that motivate performance, and coaching teams to meet and exceed their goals.
- Be directly involved in new sales and upsell into large and strategic accounts.
- Leverage sales analytics to fine tune and run the sales organization and track progress.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience with large-dollar enterprise SaaS software systems in a fast-growing company.
- 10+ years of proven experience in sales leadership, leading sales divisions in SaaS companies to include a services component.
- Experience building and developing sales team across multiple roles.
- Experience designing compensation plans for the sales team.
- Demonstrated ability leveraged sales analytics to tune and run the sales organization (KPIs/ROB)
- Experience working with procurement cycles in the state and local government marketplace.
- Experience coaching teams selling LOB solutions and methodologies that are industry aligned.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
